In 2007 John Kannis Architects commenced designing 18 apartments in Leederville situated opposite the Town of Vincent’s offices & surrounding parklands.

This 3 level development consisted of 18 single bedroom apartments, 10 apartments addressing Vincent Street looking over the parkland and the remaining 8 apartments taking advantage of the Perth city views. It was the first of the kind along this stretch of Vincent Street and was at the time surrounded by mainly single storey residential housing.

Due to the scale of the project at the time negotiations with the Town of Vincent were necessary & a development approval was successfully achieved. Today, there are numerous developments of this scale & greater sited along this strip of Vincent Street.

Building Permit application & detailed construction documentation was completed by the end of 2008. Due to circumstances beyond the architect’s control this development did not proceed beyond this final stage.
